Job Description

The Training Specialist will collaborate with managers, subject matter experts, HR Director, the leadership team, and other partners to design, develop, implement, and evaluate, as well as facilitate, learning and development. These programs will be developed and delivered in a blended format. This position will be responsible for engaging in the full instructional design and development cycle, training our internal teams/new team members, and utilizing a blended learning approach to complement our training offerings. This role partners heavily with the HR team and business stakeholders to drive training efforts and meet team development needs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders in area of responsibility to understand training and development needs and identify needs/solutions for stakeholders
  • Drive the Talent Development strategy
  • Development, in partnership with iMBranded’s product line stakeholders, executive leadership and HR
  • Engage in ongoing conversations around training and development for product offerings with Graphic and Architectural millwork lines
  • Design, develop and deliver interactive and engaging materials for both classroom and alternative/blended learning delivery, i.e.: web-based, and informal learning
  • Deliver courses using adult learning principles and interactive on-line learning models as appropriate
  • Ensure the instructional integrity of course development projects through systematic design and clear writing of scripts, narratives, and storyboards
  • Ensure all training materials are utilizing updated training methodology, formats, and approach
  • Uphold instructional design and development standards for all existing and future training materials that support continued quality, speed of delivery, and learning reinforcement
  • Provide methods for front-end learning needs analysis and assisting in the evaluation of instructional effectiveness for course materials that are produced
  • Communicate frequently and effectively with various project collaborators, HR, and leaders to ensure that goals and objectives are being met
  • Drive creative thinking and futuristic vision for development plans and opportunities

Qualifications/ Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Knowledge of Architectural Millwork, Graphic Design, Construction preferred
  • Experience in designing and delivering training required
  • Ability to partner with operations leaders and drive training strategy in the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Able to work in a cross-functional environment
  • Strong interest in adult-based learning strategies and innovations
  • Willingness to be part of many components of a project team
  • Interest in both design and teaching aspects of training
  • Experience with multiple level stakeholders, engaging in development conversations, understanding business needs, and project planning.
  • Experience mentoring and/or leading employee(s)
  • Training in design skills preferred
  • Organizational skills are critical
  • Ability to create simulations, webinars and in person training, as well as e-learning
  • Strong ability to command a learning environment
  • Experience with video conferencing and/or e-learning concepts
  • Ability to build on-line courseware or aptitude to learn
