Hercules Materials Holdings - Master Plumber - Metro Detroit

Compensation: $100,000-$125,000 annually plus discretionary annual bonuses based on performance. And a bonus plan for work outside of the normal schedule.

So what does the Master Plumber do?

• Installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing equipment in a heavy industrial environment under minimal supervision and according to established policies and procedures.
• Preventive and Routine maintenance on concrete plant equipment
• Troubleshoot and calibrate water chillers, heaters, valves, commercial piping, water flow, water filtration and pump systems
• Use blueprints, charts, work orders, verbal instructions, and established practices to organize and complete assigned work
• Install equipment and systems as needed
• Pull applicable permits as needed
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Responsible for clean-up of immediate work areas or in other areas in conjunction with assigned duties
• Mentoring, advising and instructing Journeyman and apprentices on the job

Preferred Qualifications:

• Several years of experience in a Commercial setting as a Master Plumber
• Valid Plumber’s License & Driver’s License
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, labels, safety instructions and product use instructions.
• Continued learning to be updated on the latest plumbing codes, tools and technology.
• Able to work in various weather conditions

Working Conditions:

• Able to work extended hours as needed – 55+ hours during the peak season.
• Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors on different aspects of the ready mix concrete plants.
• Must wear PPE while working on company equipment.
• Able to flex start time pending plant needs and projects.

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to frequently stand, sit, climb or crawl around and under machines or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and drive a vehicle, when necessary.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, equipment, tools or controls.
• Working at heights at an excess of 100 feet, climbing stairs, ladders, and concrete/aggregate silos.
• Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
