Job Description

Tiello has partnered with a highly successful Commercial General Contractor in the out of Nebraska on their search for an Traveling Superintendent who will be overseeing commercial ground-up projects $8M+. This position will be required to travel (throughout Nebraska, and the surrounding states) a minimum of 9 months out of the year.

Title: Traveling Superintendent (Commercial Ground-Up Construction)

Project Types: Educational, Public / Municipality, Healthcare, Multifamily, and Commercial projects ($8M+)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities at the job site.
• Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with project plans and specifications and follows the job schedule.
• Maintain and/or communicate the construction schedule progress or delays.
• Identify and proactively solve problems that may affect the project timeline.
• Effectively communicate with and coordinate subcontractors
• Proactively identify poor craftsmanship and ensure it is rectified in a timely manner to prevent a large punch list.
• Prepare and send daily reports.
• Maintain an organized and clean job site to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Keep track of all materials and equipment delivered to the job site.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years in a Superintendent position
• 3+ years of commercial construction (ground-up) experience
• Basic understanding of construction plans and specifications.
• Problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce them effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic ability to evaluate and manage construction personnel.
• Ability to utilize construction reporting tools.
