Transition Manager
Houston – Texas, Onsite

Role
- Manage knowledge transition projects to transition services from incumbent vendor or customer team to remote offshore team for Infrastructure support operations engagements
- Lead and Manage Transition projects on schedule within budgets with high CSAT in line with contractual obligations
- Facilitate coordination and collaboration between offshore onsite/onshore teams and customer teams
- Full Ownership for success of each phase in transition projects
Responsibilities
- Transition Manager will be responsible for planning tracking customer transition teams spread across the globe in line with scope commitments
- Act as the prime interface for senior management and customer for service transition engagement
- Plan and Coordinate activities for Due diligence exercise to perform scope baselining on schedule
- Ensure successful service delivery transition of all activities processes workflows technical knowledge technical design and architecture documentation
- Align customer to follow well defined transition methodology customize approach in line with customer environment
- Ensure Staffing and skill readiness of delivery teams for smooth transition
- Ensure seamless integration of policies processes and workflow among integrated team of customer and Mindtree
- Manage risks all risks with mitigation plans that impact budget scope CSAT and schedule of the transition project
- Set correct expectations on the performance at each phase of transition and use of new or changed services
- Ensure transfer of good quality knowledge and information about services and service assets transferring services to and from other service providers
- Successful decommissioning and discontinuation of services applications or other service components
- Effective coordination between SMEs technical leads at offshore onsite and customer stakeholders with Excellent reporting and communication to all stakeholders
- Conducting periodic Project governance meetings among stakeholders to review plan vs progress
- Preparation and communication of the project plan schedules daily weekly monthly status reports as per the schedule
- Steer daily weekly monthly calls and ad hoc calls when needed
- Ensure service delivery transition within agreed KPI target SLA measurement with continual improvement and high customer satisfaction
- Drive proactive escalation process among stakeholders to prevent issues and mitigate risks to quality cost and schedule
Required Skills
- Overall IT Industry experience in IT Infrastructure support environments
- Ability to see big picture and Understanding of Strategic vision of outsourcing and transition objectives of client
- Demonstrated track record of project management experience in end to end IT Infrastructure Transformation Migration Upgrade Implementation projects and IT Operations
- Demonstrated track record and of experience in Infrastructure support services Transition projects
- Application support knowledge would be an advantage
- Should have strong knowledge on supporting Data Centers HCI managing Private Cloud Public Cloud AWS Azure Google Virtualization etc
- Knowledge of various methodologies for Service knowledge transition
- Ability to estimate Transition Efforts
- Ability to prepare and effectively communicate status reports presentations and Schedule trackers using Microsoft Project Plan and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to lead estimate plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in managing projects for clients from USAEUUKAPAC geographies
- International work experience is an advantage
- Ability to manage projects within Fixed Price Budget Tight Schedules with Excellent Quality
- Effective Risk Issue constraint management to eliminate and mitigate business impact
- Customer and internal Stakeholder Management Crisp and unambiguous Status Reporting Articulation and Communication
- Ability to manage conflict within the team as well as with stakeholder groups
- Effective direction to Team coordination communication
- Ability to collaborate eco system of enabling functions within organization other vendor teams and technology partners
- Exposure in execution of Multivendor Multiteam Multiple Complex projects
- Willingness to work in shift and/or odd hours
- Flexible to travel on short notice
- Educational Background Engineering Degree in Comp Science and/or MCA/MBA
Certifications
- PRINCE2PMP Preferred
- ITIL Service Management Preferred
- Good Understanding on Key Infrastructure technologies
- Windows Linux/Unix Database Networking Virtualization Databases public private Cloud etc
