Position Summary
The Procurement Analyst I (Contractor) is responsible for supporting the management of IT hardware inventory and hardware requests to ensure timely availability and replacements for all employees and contractors. This role will support all aspects of procurement, logistics, IT asset management and establishing / maintaining the IT vendor relationships including sourcing, negotiating the best prices, and the ordering of technology equipment and/or services. The position reports to the Senior Manager of Procurement.
Responsibilities
· Ensure best prices are received for all equipment ordered (competitive bidding/price comparisons)
· Creative and thorough search approach to ensure that the vendor has the capability, expertise, and resources
· Assist with vendor management of all hardware vendors and supporting services
· Track competitive prices for all hardware and supporting services
· Assist with managing all IT hardware assets for the Company
· Support onboarding and communication of new vendors to the appropriate teams
· Support every aspect of the supply chain and notify management of any inefficiencies
· Coordinate & ensure deliveries are tracked and made on-time
· Process requisitions and purchase orders for hardware and hardware-related support and services
· Assist with refining and continuously improving procurement and asset management processes
· Assist with specific assignments as needed including reporting and special projects
Qualifications
· 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, buying and/or procurement
· Experience with purchasing / selling IT hardware
· Experience with IT asset management systems
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Coursework in logistics, supply chain or related major preferred
Skills/Abilities
· Experience with IT service ticketing systems e.g. ServiceNow
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Strong interpersonal skills and able to be an effective team player
· Must be able to multi-task in fast-paced sometimes pressured situations
· Able to set and meet multiple and simultaneous deadlines
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
