Your Role
As a Mate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient navigation of vessels under the direction of senior officers. You’ll handle bridge watches, oversee navigational updates, and support safety routines, all while protecting the environment and maintaining vessel readiness for emergency response. This role is vital to maintaining the operational integrity and performance of the fleet, contributing directly to the company's reputation for excellence.
What Do You Bring?
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of operational experience as a Mate, with a valid MMC and USCG endorsement of Third Mate or higher for motor-propelled vessels upon Oceans, including towing. You must hold current STCW certifications, USCG medicals, and a TWIC card. Strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and a proactive attitude are essential. Knowledge of USCG/ABS/ISM/ISPS regulations and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment are highly valued. A U.S. passport is required for foreign voyages. MUST HAVE Ocean Towing endorsement (Coastal water does not meet our requirements).
