A fast growing company is seeking a Materials /Inventory Manager
The Materials/Inventory Manager also will do planning and oversee purchasing.
Ideal candidate will have leadership experience, supply chain/logistics
3 direct reports under Materials Manager:
2 Inventory Clerks and 1 Buyer

Reports To: Director, Operations
Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Materials/Inventory Manager to oversee the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of materials in our manufacturing facility.
This leadership role will ensure the effective coordination of materials management functions, support production requirements, and maintain inventory accuracy while optimizing operational efficient and cost.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and manage all inventory, purchasing, shipping/receiving, and material handling
operations.
Develop and implement inventory control systems and strategies to ensure optimal
stock levels.
Oversee daily material transactions and inventory movement to support production
needs.
Work closely with engineering, production, and finance teams to forecast material
needs and reduce waste.
Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, including negotiating contracts and
resolving delivery or quality issues.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all material movements in ERP systems (Sage X3).
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory turns, lead times, and
supplier performance.
Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and materials personnel. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in all materials
management processes.
Assist in cost-reduction initiatives through efficient material planning and sourcing. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related
field.
7-10 years of experience in materials or inventory management within a manufacturing
environment.
Experience in an ISO 9001- certified facility preferred.
Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; strong analytical and reporting skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and lead negotiations.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proven leadership and team development experience.
Knowledge of demand planning, MRP processes, and inventory optimization techniques.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain processes.
Familiarity with electronic components and manufacturing workflows.
Ability to analyze data and trends to make informed planning and purchasing decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is a
plus.
Ability to develop and maintain metrics for performance tracking.
Working Conditions
Work generally performed in both a temperature-controlled office and a
warehouse/production environment with regular interaction with vendors, equipment, and
manufacturing teams.
Additional Requirements
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
Regular use of computer systems and spreadsheets.
Must wear appropriate PPE when required.
Manufacturing/production facility environment.
Schedule typically Monday-Friday with occasional overtime.
