we need Mainframe, 5+ years of hands-on experience with COBOL programming on IBM z/OS.
Description
Typical task breakdown:
- We also manage many modernization projects migrating Mainframe application to modern solution. Future candidate will also help team members to future modernization projects efforts.
- She/he will also be to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems.
Interaction with team:
- Many of our mainframe applications communicate with modern tools (such as Cognos, power BI, ThoughtSpot, Java applications) supported by other team members.
- Mainframe IT Analyst will work closely with experiences team members to support current applications and to help in our modernization efforts.
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- GCIO SD&D team manages multiple critical Mainframe applications.
- We seek a mainframe developer who will be able to help our team members to support incidents and changes.
- Many of these applications are complex. Incident resolution will require to investigate how jobs work and to understand business logic embedded in these applications to find incident root cause.
- We then expect that analyst will then provide inputs/guidance to other teams to solve incidents.

1) Associate\'s degree in computer programming or equivalent training required with 8 years’ experience or Bachelor’s degree with 5- 7 years’ experience
2) 5+ years of hands-on experience with COBOL programming on IBM z/OS
3) Proficiency in JCL, VSAM, DB2, IMS, and CICS
4) Hands on experience w/ $AVRS, ACF2 rules, Sequential files( naming scheme), OPC( scheduling)
