Job Description

The H&K Group, Inc. is searching for the ideal Lawn Crew Laborer to be responsible for moving soil, equipment, and materials, digging holes, and assisting in landscaping grounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all work according to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Dig holes for plants and trees
• Mix fertilizer or lime with dirt in bottom of holes to enrich soil, places plants or trees in holes and adds dirt to fill holes
• Attach wires from planted trees to stakes to support trees
• Haul or spread topsoil
• Water lawns, trees and plants
• Spread straw over seeded soil to prevent movement of seed and soil
• Build forms for concrete borders
• Mix and pour cement for garden borders
• Place decorative stones and plant flowers in garden areas
• Mow lawns
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR related training and/or experience
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

  Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• Three months related training and/or experience
