Job Description

Inventory Planner

The in-office role is responsible for ladder plans/inventory planning for a portfolio of products, will report to and work closely with the Product Manager and work directly with our sales, merchandise, and logistics teams to develop, maintain, and analyze ladder plans, projections, usage, arrival and ordering of products. Acting to justify ordering of inventory based on customer's projections and our inventory management system and order history. Responsible for inventory planning and analysis to ensure ladder plans are optimized to achieve or exceed sales, inventory turns, GSL dates, margin and eliminate, minimize and alert out-of-stock instances.

Inventory management and logistics experience is a key aspect of this position. Familiarity working with ladder plans, inventory ordering and monitoring is required.

In addition to the inventory planning, the position also works with the team on other activities regarding this portfolio of products, specifically to better understand the products, uses, trends, in order to better manage the inventory, including identifying new product opportunities, assist in performing product/store surveys, assist in maintaining supplier matrix, regulatory reviews and FSVP documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Inventory Planning / Forecasting / Ladder Plans / Logistics for Import and Domestic Product Programs.

· Prepare weekly sales and inventory reporting providing analysis and insight into above comparisons.

· Communicate all plans to Sales, Merchandising, Program Manager and Executive Management; collaborate with teams to ensure plans and goals can be supported.

· Manage inactive inventory, working with Program Manager on dispositions to ensure product is either returned, or proper markdowns are in place to help turn the goods

· Actualize weekly sales inventory and receipt ladder plans to monitor performance compared to plan/projections and prior year, prior month, and prior year.

· Manage timelines for all domestic orders i.e. arrival of containers ETD, and ETA, working closely with merchandising, shipping and logistics departments.

· Manage all replenishment orders.

· Utilize, analyze, and understand retailer’s 10/10 data as it relates to usage and projections.

· Project Warehouse Space allocation requirements for incoming and planned freight, work with warehouse manager and logistics team to coordinate.

· Logistics interface for Import and Domestic Product Programs.

· Work to improve existing SOPs and systems.

· Assisting with in daily tasks provided by Product Manager.

· Assist logistics department as needed.

· Have reliable transportation.

· Bring strong work ethic and positive attitude to responsibilities everyday.

· Assist with regulatory and market research.

· Manage staff.

· Performs other duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

· Technical Aptitude: Need to be able to read and comprehend technical documents. Excellent Excel Skills required (spreadsheets and complex formulas)

· Excellent communication skills: Be able to gather facts and information to draw and calculated answer.
