Job Description

Administers activities involving the internal and external employment process and in general supports the Human Resources Department activities.

Skills:

• Must be able to work well under pressure.
• Must be able to deal effectively with people at all levels of the organization as well as external contacts.
• Must be computer literate and have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and familiarity with database programs.

Education:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent required, which provides extensive occupationally specific knowledge. In absence of a Associates degree, 5 or more years experience in a similar field. 

Experience:

• One to three years experience in a similar field.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Prepare new employee folders for orientations and personnel files.
• Maintain applicant flow data.
• Answer phones and retrieve mail.
• Maintains and updates employee personnel files.
• Complete written and verbal employment/wage verifications.
• Prepare and maintain job descriptions.
• Acts as liaison between payroll and human resources when dealing with payroll issues.
• Maintains supplies of all HR forms.
• Schedules interviews for supervisors and managers.
• Updates open positions postings on a weekly basis.
• Maintains mandated postings.
• Phone screens potential applicants.
• Reports and files worker compensation
