Position Overview:

We are seeking a safety-focused Maintenance Supervisor to join our growing operations team and ensure our facility, equipment, and safety systems operate at peak performance. This role is perfect for an experienced maintenance professional with 5+ years of experience who thrives on problem-solving, preventive maintenance, and contributing to operational excellence through meticulous facility management. You'll play a crucial role in our continued expansion, working directly with local contractors, managing our safety program, and ensuring operational continuity across our warehouse and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility & Equipment Management (60% of role):

  • Oversee maintenance of material handling equipment including forklifts, cherry pickers, and turret trucks
  • Manage facility systems including HVAC, compressed air, electrical, and grounds maintenance
  • Coordinate monthly equipment testing, safety inspections, and preventive maintenance programs
  • Supervise snow removal, parking lot maintenance, and facility vehicle upkeep
  • Oversee fabrication and repair projects to support operational needs
  • Develop and maintain maintenance schedules using Excel and project tracking systems

Safety Leadership & Compliance (25% of role):

  • Lead Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and safety protocol implementation
  • Participate actively in Safety Committee meetings and safety program development
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain detailed inspection records
  • Conduct safety training and assessments for team members and contractors
  • Manage safety documentation and reporting systems
  • Obtain OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification within 180 days

Vendor Management & Operations Support (15% of role):

  • Manage relationships with local contractors and service providers
  • Coordinate contracted maintenance services and facility improvements
  • Provide emergency response support during weekends and holidays as needed
  • Receive machine operator training to support production operations
  • Report to Logistics and Operations Director with dotted line to Safety Manager
  • Maintain comprehensive maintenance and compliance records in Word and Excel

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification preferred
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in industrial or warehouse environments
  • Experience with material handling equipment operation and maintenance
  • Background in facility management, HVAC, or electrical systems preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel and Word for scheduling, tracking, and documentation
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance programs and safety protocols
  • Experience with LOTO procedures and safety compliance requirements
  • Valid state driver's license with ability to pass DOT physical
  • Material handling equipment operation certifications (or ability to obtain)

  • Operate maintenance equipment and tools safely and effectively
