Job Description

Personal Assistant & House Manager for Visionary Entrepreneur & Family

Location: Boulder, CO

About Us:

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Personal Assistant and House Manager to support the former CEO of a prominent international company, his wife, and their family. This role involves assisting both of us and our teenage children, with a commitment of 15-20 hours per week. It will include driving responsibilities for the children, so a clean driving record is essential (driving compensation will be provided). The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of taking initiative to enhance and streamline our home systems. Given our busy schedules, we need someone who can anticipate our needs, work independently, and handle tasks with confidence and efficiency. While the primary focus will be on personal and home-related duties, there is potential for this role to transition into a business assistant position at our Boulder storefront later this year for the right candidate. We are looking for the right fit to start as soon as possible.

Role Overview:

As our Personal Assistant and House Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining household harmony and supporting our family’s daily and business activities. This role involves working closely with the family. Your responsibilities will include delivering on projects weekly, creating effective systems for home management, and initiating improvements to enhance our living space and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Home Maintenance: Oversee and organize home maintenance tasks, schedule appointments with trusted contractors, and ensure the efficient operation of household systems.
  • Personal Scheduling: Manage personal appointments and maintain calendars for health and home maintenance.
  • Business Support: Assist with various tasks related to our family businesses.
  • Efficiency and Organization: Track finances and health trends using spreadsheets and graphs, and identify opportunities for financial efficiency.
  • Disaster Recovery: Develop and manage a comprehensive disaster recovery plan for various aspects of life.
  • Family Support: Transport our two children to school three days a week (gas compensation included) and manage other daily responsibilities.
  • Project Completion: Deliver weekly on the completion of projects, create and implement systems for home maintenance, and take the initiative in improving our living space and quality of life.
  • Innovation: Demonstrate strong initiative by thinking outside the box, solving problems proactively, and handling tasks independently without relying on detailed instructions or micromanagement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our family, showing a high level of consciousness, intention, and personal drive in all aspects of the role.

Requirements:

  • Values Alignment: Strong alignment with our values and a commitment to conscious living.
  • Integrity: High integrity, transparency, and clear communication.
  • Self-Starter: Exceptional initiative, with the ability to manage tasks independently and drive improvements.
  • Resourceful: Skilled in finding creative solutions and utilizing resources efficiently.
  • Strategic Mind: Strong critical thinking, intuitive decision-making, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Energy and Focus: Sharp, quick, and energetic, with a focus on simplicity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Driving: Clean driving record required for transportation duties.

How to Apply:

If you are excited about this opportunity and believe you have the initiative to excel in this role, please send your resume to  [email protected]. We are eager to learn more about you and how your proactive approach can contribute to our family’s success.

Position Details:

  • Starting Pay: $30-32 starting per hour depending on experience level, with potential for growth in both compensation and responsibilities after the trial period. There is room for increase with time.
  • Hours: 15-20 flexible hours per week - with option to increase hours in the future (please do not apply if you are looking for FT)
  • Start Date: We do not have a set start date and are flexible, waiting for the right fit.
  • Background Check Required: Yes
  • Driving Record: Excellent driving record required
