Job Description

Onsite Copywriter

Location: Edison, NJ (5x week)

Salary: $50-60K ($65K MAX)

Summary

My agency client is looking for a talented and versatile copywriter to create compelling content across a diverse range of brands, as well as licensed partnerships with major consumer electronic brands, and more. This role requires a strong command of language, creativity, and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging copy. Key Responsibilities

  • Write and edit user manuals, packaging, product listings, scripts, web content, blogs, emails, and more
  • Ensure copy is accurate, consistent, and aligned with brand voice and guidelines across all touchpoints
  • Develop persuasive, SEO-optimized, and conversion-focused copy for various channels, including Amazon
  • Collaborate with designers, videographers, and buyers to align messaging with visuals and project objectives
  • Adapt to different brand voices and target audiences while maintaining clarity and accuracy
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high quality and time management
  • Work independently, sometimes with minimal information, to create compelling messaging
  • Edit and refine copy for grammar, clarity, and alignment with brand guidelines and product and brand positioning
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in copywriting and marketing
  • Develop a deep understanding of the brands, products, and audiences to lead copy strategy
  • Own the voice and tone of our brands, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a portfolio showcasing branded copy
  • Demonstrated ability to adjust own copywriting tone, style, purpose, and construction as needed based on context, audience, and brand voice
  • Demonstrated ability to edit copy to support distinct brand voices, messaging goals, audiences, and overall flow/clarity
  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, research, and communication skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to create clear, engaging, and grammatically accurate content
  • A proactive self-starter, comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience in SEO best practices and keyword optimization
