Job Description

The EMR Support Specialist will work in conjunction with the EMR Product Owner to support multiple facilities for that utilize eClinicalWorks and Experity EMR. Ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, strong excel skills and experience working with healthcare providers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support for end users regarding the use of our clinical systems
  • Monitor system activities, identify issues, resolve problems and appropriately escalate issues to EMR Product Owner or EMR Vendor
  • Serves as a point of contact for end users and providers
  • Maintain accurate records of all contacts made and results of inquiries via ticketing system
  • Assist in EMR build requirements when opening new locations/sites
  • Contribute to tasks and projects as assigned by management in the support and implementation of EMR systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent is required.
  • Certificate/License: None.
  • Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of EMR Experience AND/OR working at an ambulatory clinic
  • X-Ray/PACS system support preferred
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have excellent follow through and attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Self-reliant with strong multitasking skills
  • Must be able to communicate with clinical staff and providers
  • Ability to understand clinical and technical concepts
  • Work independently with minimal guidance in complex situations
  • Maintain the integrity of multiple systems and solve complex problems independently
  • Possibility of travel- less than 10%
