Civil Site Project Manager - Columbus
A growing civil engineering firm is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead and expand its Civil Site Development group in the Midwest. About the RoleAs a Project Manager, you'll oversee a diverse portfolio of civil site projects, manage and mentor a talented team, and play a key role in client development and retention. This role combines technical leadership with business development and offers strong potential for advancement in a dynamic and supportive workplace.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage the planning, design, and permitting of site development projects (commercial, residential, institutional, etc.)
Direct and oversee design teams on site layouts, grading, drainage, roadway design, utility systems, and stormwater management
Coordinate with clients, agencies, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
Lead proposals, presentations, and client meetings to support business growth
Drive project profitability and implement quality control processes
Mentor and develop junior staff
Collaborate with other offices and work across multiple geographic markets, including OH, IN, NC, and beyond
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
7+ years of experience in civil site design and project management
Proven ability to lead projects from concept to completion
Strong client relationships and experience developing new business
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Familiarity with local permitting requirements and design standards
