**Job Summary:**
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare team by providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth functioning of our medical office. You will be responsible for assisting healthcare providers in clinical and administrative tasks, contributing to our mission of delivering outstanding healthcare services.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Patient Care:**
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by the physician.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, and procedures.
- **Administrative Duties:**
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Assist in billing and coding for insurance claims as necessary.
- **Collaboration:**
- Work closely with healthcare providers to facilitate efficient and effective patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with medical assistant practices and guidelines.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) through a recognized organization (e.g., AAMA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and office practices.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
